Our BS 750 underground fire hydrant is designed and manufactured in accordance with BS 750, the British Standard for underground fire hydrants. It provides a reliable, quick-access water supply point for firefighting, installed below ground with a surface box and cover for protection and unobtrusive location. The flanged (FLG) inlet connects directly to the buried water main, with universal flange drilling compatible with both PN10 and PN16 pipelines.

The hydrant body is cast in high-grade ductile iron (GGG50/EN-GJS-500-7) for strength and long service life, with a stainless steel operating stem and brass valve components. It is operated with a standard hydrant key through the surface box: clockwise to open and close, following the BS 750 convention. An automatic drain valve drains the barrel after shutdown to prevent frost damage.

The outlet is the classic British London Round coupling, available in a choice of two materials: aluminum (lightweight, economical) or brass (traditional, maximum corrosion resistance). Both are supplied with a securing chain and protective cap. Rated for PN16 working pressure and finished in a durable fusion-bonded epoxy coating, this hydrant is the standard choice for municipal fire-fighting networks, industrial estates, and residential developments built to British or international water authority specifications.
