Back‑Fill Manhole Cover C‑250‑Four U‑Strengtheners, NCH2080
This back‑fill manhole cover complies with Chile local standard NCH2080 (2008), Class C‑250, designed for municipal sewer and potable‑water pipeline systems.
The complete assembly is composed of a ductile‑iron ring frame and a custom‑fabricated welded steel grid cover.
This reinforced version features four U‑shaped strengthener brackets distributed around the grid.
The internal reinforcing grid is constructed from A‑440‑H fluted‑steel bars with 12 mm diameter.
Both the outer flap and four U‑shaped strengthener components are made of ASTM A‑36 steel plate.
Full welding shall be completed at all bar ends and every grid cross‑joint.
Four fixing lugs are provided on the ductile‑iron ring frame to facilitate field installation.
The design ensures interchangeability of covers within the same load class. Suitable for buried back‑fill pavement installation along road‑side areas subjected to medium vehicle traffic.
