GIBAULT JOINT
Overview:
The Ductile Iron Gibault Joint is a restrained flexible coupling for joining two plain‑end pipes within the same outer‑diameter range. Constructed with high‑grade ductile iron sleeve and end rings, galvanized steel bolts & nuts together with EPDM / SBR O‑ring gaskets. It is designed for working pressure PN10 and PN16 in potable water and municipal water pipeline networks.
As a restrained joint, it not only provides flexible sealing allowing limited angular deflection, but also prevents pipe axial separation under internal thrust force. It is widely used for pipeline installation, renovation and repair works for ductile iron pipes, steel pipes and other compatible plain‑end pipes in water distribution systems.
