Back‑Fill Manhole Cover C‑250 With Double U‑Shaped Strengtheners NCH2080
This back‑fill manhole cover is designed per Chile local standard NCH2080 (2008), Class C‑250, for municipal sewer and potable‑water pipeline systems.
The complete assembly consists of a ductile‑iron ring frame and a fabricated steel grid cover.
This improved version is fitted with a pair of double U‑shaped strengthener brackets on both sides of the grid.
The steel cover adopts A‑440‑H fluted‑steel reinforcing grid with 12 mm bar diameter, with outer flap and U‑shaped strengthener parts made from ASTM A‑36 steel plate.
Full welding is performed at every bar end and all grid cross‑joints. Four fixing lugs on the ductile‑iron frame enable fast on‑site installation, and the design guarantees interchangeability for covers of the same load class. It is suitable for buried back‑fill pavement installation under medium‑traffic road‑side conditions.
